A Lever, and a Place to Stand

I can't speak for anyone else, but I gained a lot of breathing room and happiness when I stopped fighting and embraced my "weaknesses" as part of my identity, and directed my energies more into creating workarounds that were compatible with that identity.

Aikido and Taoism have taught me a lot about the power of harmonizing with the momentum of what is around you and within you and selectively adding to or redirecting that.

Both also emphasize being centered and grounded; having a place to stand, with a relaxed -- even amused -- but alert mentality.

That said, training and discipline are clearly useful, when that they allow you to take "right actions" without spending mental energy. I suspect that each person differs in which patterns can be trained -- delegated -- into the subconsious level, and which things will always require conscious effort.

"all your base are belong to us"

i'm slow in such matters.

and i only "deleted" the journal as I thought I should edit it and put it through some extensive revision. separate the wheat from the whatever-you-call-it. but i found that you can't can't make it private all at once but must plod though one entry at a time and seeing as there are close to 5000 entries the task overwhelmed my psyche.

so i delete it and then undelete it again (within the 30 days) and immediately delete it. until i figure out how to save it or download it to edit it so i can put it up again fresh and new and EDITED. it kinda got a hold of me. ;)

but i don't know nothin' bout this techtar stuff so my journal is in limbo purgatory until i figure this one out or someone's nice enough to help me who knows about such matters :) - which is no one round these here parts :(.

however, if i never figure it out and it just has to be deleted i guess that shall be the case.

but i always have hope. :)

About making a backup of one's journal: I have had some success using a tool made by orona_red, found here:

thank you for the suggestion.

pay no mind to the responses to my responses. it's intended for "humor" - but without a context its easy to misunderstand - as i'm finding many things are. :)

good luck, trip. :)
