I've had a long (though pleasant) day. Garage saling, playing pool at Lovejoy's with Psyche, then seeing the last performance of the play fulguritus and achild have been doing. I enjoyed it quite a lot. I was amazed by the way the actors engaged with the material and, in an interesting way, both fulfilled and outshone it. I can't quite describe it to my satisfaction, but I guess you could say it was intellectual sadomasochism play. Taking philosophical ideas and beating up the audience with them -- yelling, loud noises at random, very challenging ideas, and repetition -- and then knowing, loving, smiles, as if to say, that hurt, didn't it? And you liked it, didn't you? And we did.

I did! Both last night's show and tonight's show were thought-provoking and entertaining. Robert Anton Wilson always had a talent for balancing heavy philosophy with slapstick comedy, and this local cast did a fine job with his writing.
