I forget myself/Want you to remind me

Do you ever talk to yourself -- and actually listen to what you are saying?

Here's an exercise for today.

Say these words:
"I love you. It's going to be okay. I'm going to take care of it."

Hear it, as it is being said, and receive it as information from a trusted source. Say it, as something of great importance and truth. Try it again, more slowly, and attend to it. You might need to say it out loud to really get it across.

. . .

Now, think about what that means.
Think about what your day will be like because this is true.

I may be preaching to the choir here, but even if you already knew that you knew this -- it's still good to be reminded.

(On the other hand, if you have no idea what I'm getting at, let me know.)

I haven't been keeping this mantra specifically, but I have been saying similar things to myself in the mornings. Mostly, "everything that needs to be done will be completed" to remind myself that not *everything* needs to be done.

Thanks! You, Rock! I'd like to add another "good timing" to the mix. *hugs*

Granted I'm reading this some time after you posted it, but I just found your LJ at random yesterday. OK, not *totally* random -- I googled for "livejournal austin unitarian." So I'm reading your recent stuff (in reverse chronological order), enjoying it very much, and then I read this. You have no idea how much I needed this right now! Even though we don't know each other, thank you, thank you, thank you!

You are very welcome. The best way to learn is to teach, and I gotta learn or else; so, there we are.
