Christmas 2003

mood: spacey
music: Fleetwood Mac - Gold Dust Woman

In Kingwood, TX, with family. I am the oldest of six children, and we're all here together at the same time this year, unlike previous Christmases.

They are very mellow and pleasant, and it's nice to be here. Nothing at all like the well-intentioned but stressful place I left, in the conventional way, as a teenager. High School was a rough time for me, at least inside my head, and I leapt at the opportunity to be admitted early, right after graduation, to the University of Texas at Austin in the summer of 1990.

Our paths could've crossed.

Wow! You were at UT at the same time and didn't meet.

We could have walked right by each other as strangers unaware that we'd get to know each other later.
