It struck me just now that a pair of leg warmers would work perfectly for my momentary concern: I'm sitting here at my computer desk at home, and all of my body is in a good temperature range except for the lower legs, from ankle to kneecap.

It never occured to me that those had a practical use!

(Although it's probably just these size-too-small velvet pants that are really to blame)

aw thanks, that's very thoughtful of you, but I'm not sure if I'd remember to wear them. (I mean, for one thing, what drawer do they belong in?) :)

If you can't find any, find an old sweater and cut the sleeves. I got the idea from this girl, Basa, who'd made an awesome outfit from one old stretchy sweater -- top part of sweater without sleeves was the exposed-midriff top. The bottom part made the skirt, and the sleeves were the leg-warmers. :)
