* apply for a job at Google

Yeah, there's a formula with the tier of school you get your degree from and GPA and if you're under that I'm told you're wasting your time applying at all. They actually require transcripts. Not having the degree, I don't even bother thinking about Google and, honestly, based on that, I'm pretty sure I'd never work there once I've gotten my degree no matter what they offered me.

Interesting. They'll be missing some phenotypes entirely. Maybe my instinct is correct -- they can just acquire those on the open market. I could see that keeping the hiring process more manageable... and I'll even concede that could actually work out well. But as a strategy, I doubt it's any less of a gamble.
