A bighead carp on the lower Mississippi River sails into a boat in a photo provided by the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks. Carp such as the bighead and its relatives are known for leaping into boats. The state agency is worried the carp may be transplanted into Fort Peck Reservoir by anglers who release minnows bought from out of state.
