"What I intend to do is lead a, uh... uh, to lead a investigation to find out what went right and what went wrong.

And I'll tell you why.

Uh it's ah very important for us to understand the relationship between the Federal government the state govmint n' the local goverment, when it comes to a major catastrophe!"

Yes, I think we can all agree that that is very important. In fact, one might even consider it a prerequisite to running for office.

Ahem.

In literature, this is called foreshadowing.

If I do run for public office, I am appointing you as Dr. Strangelove.

It may have been a prerequisite for running, but since he already has the job ...

I hope this isn't disparagement of my absolutely favorite presumindent in the whole world. Who else has done so much? It takes a brave, brilliant man to free all that money that had been languishing as "surplus" and a true visionary to do what he can to help bring down the overpopulation problem.

So what if he's not glib. Or even moderately coherent. Who can hate a man who grins so smugly all the time, no matter how inappropriate the occasion?

Let's face it, kids. No one else in the possibility pool of presidential position would have helped the American people realize so quickly how little they need the "help" of Big Bother.

He's my hero. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Also, no one since Biblical times has done such a great job of exterminating all our first borns...and second borns...and third borns...all in the name of locusts! er, oil!

Don't forget the shit-eating grin at the end of each answer. Some stations don't show that.

I've never liked the guy before, but now I'm ready to believe the worst about him. Horrible. Horrible.

I don't talk much about what I feel intuitively when I hear the way he speaks... but it's bad enough that I actively avoid hearing the man speak.

It's really unfortunate that Bush is the very first President that this country has ever had. If there had been others before him, and other disasters, then me might have had a handle on this.

Yeah. If only the United States had, oh, I don't know, a branch of the military specializing in dangerous amphibious landings. Or, you know, boats. Think what they could have done then. But no...

i like to think that there are MANY DIFFERENT WAYS to be intelligent. the standard line about bush has been that just because he can't read good don't make him dumb. he's plenty smart. and yet i don't think bush is intelligent in any manner that i recognize. also, he's a jackass.
