I'm feeling like puttering, so look for me around the house if you don't see where things are happening.

*** Game Night tonight! ***

Game Night!
Thursday, 2005-06-02 19:30 (7:30pm) until very late
Sasona Co-op
2604 Paramount Ave.
Austin, TX 78704
(near Kerbey Lane South)
( 5 1 2 ) 6 1 9 - 2 8 9 1

Come on in and ask for me, "Trip".

BYOB or whatever, and I recommend bringing a snack
if you're staying late -- I usually keep playing until
the wee hours of the morning. Alternately, we have
stores and restauraunts within walking distance.

We have quite a few amenities and plenty of space for
multiple games at once.

Let me know if you have any special requests, and feel free
to bring games you like! I'll also provide a safe home for
any games you'd like to store here at Sasona.

MapQuest gave me directions that went Lamar -> La Casa -> Paramount. So I went up and down La Casa like 3 times and never found Paramount (maybe because it was dark). Not having written down the phone number or taken with me a map, I gave up and went home. I assume it's there, though. MapQuest says, "It was between Ann Arbor and Rae Dell, dumbass!"

But since this seems to be a consistent thursday event, now I have this on my calendar and will stop watching movies and then seeing this on my friends list when it's already late.

Ahh, it's the first left that's not a driveway, it comes up on you suddenly, hidden by overgrown shrubbery, as you come over the hill, and there's no street sign. Welcome to Austin! ;-)

from http://sasona.org/contact.html :

You kind of have to _know_ there's going to be a street on the left, or you'll shoot right past it because you're still looking ahead from cresting the hill. Even my friends who know it's there usually end up making too wide a turn because they've almost missed it.

Yeah, the first time I went I noted that I had gone "where the streets have no name". After hitting the end of Casa I finally asked a guy where Paramount was and he told me "The net cross street up. But, you'll want to turn left because right is private property and there are some strange kids that live there." I thanked him, looked at L and said "We definately go right. That sounds like our people."

Teehee. And I was right!
