If you like to keep notes in plain text files you might like this script.
potwiki provides functions and mappings for conveniently maintaining
a Wiki of text files with vim.

Weee! Hopping around through my note files using the editor I'm already in!
I suppose it is a pity that I never took to emacs. But I _tried_. I really did.

Maybe I'll come at it the other way: learn the Lisp and Scheme programming
languages first, and come back and see if that makes emacs feel right.

Although the whole Emacs vs. Vi argument is moot, since each has accumulated
the features of the other over the years. "Every program expands until it is able
to read mail".
