Go to bed. We won't know who won the U.S. presidential election for weeks.

I'm predicting a 269-269 tie in the Electoral college, because I'm a bastard like that.

We'll dust off the law books and find that the election must be determined a series of duels with pistols at 20 paces. After mass confusion, we'll find that Tom DeLay (R-Texas) has been elected as both President and Vice President.

But that's just my call; there are many better-thought-out Election Nightmare Scenarios for 2004.

That's actually looking quite possible right now. If Bush gets Ohio and Kerry gets all the rest, which is the way things appear to be leaning, then it's 269-269.

Yep, you are. A TIE. Which is worse, losing outright or losing after a long slow tortuous battle on a playing field that you aren't sure is level?

I can't believe I'm still fucking awake. The pistols at dawn solution is looking fucking great right now.
Simple, elegant, over.
